Introducing a faster way to Search Images

Recently Google announced it's upcoming Google Images update . It's faster , better and more reliable .With the new redesigned interface it is easier to move through a series of images ( Which I would like to call streamlined search ) .In a next few days , you'll see images in a inline panel , so that's probably faster than now.. which is a quite lengthy process . You'll be able to flick through a set of images using your keyboard .
Currently , searching images on Google is multistep process , You do the Search , see several images and on hover you get a slightly larger image . And if you want to see a bigger version of the image you do have to click the image .

But with this new revamped interface , it just cuts down all the click processes into one. Instead of sending you to a new page , you'll see a preview of the image in your search results .
Once you click on a image, you can quickly flip through the whole set of image previews using your keyboard. Your search results stay in the panel so you don’t lose track of what you were doing; if you want to go back to looking at other search results, you can just scroll down and pick up right where you left off. If you want to check out the website where the image is hosted, you can click on the photo or use the tools available.

What's In For WebMasters ?

According to the Google WebMasters Blog ,
  • A detailed information about the image (metadata) is displayed nest to it, so no more redirecting to a separate page.
  • Some more Key information is also added such as the image size , domains name , the image title and a few more tweaks .
  • The Domain name will now be clickable .
  • The source page will no longer load up in an iframe in the background of the image detail view. This speeds up the experience for users, reduces the load on the source website’s servers, and improves the accuracy of webmaster metrics such as pageviews.
